To save the contents of the Variant Report as a VCF Variant file, see Saving Variant Report Information to a VCF Variant File.
Once you have created the file, you can export it for use in other applications, such as ArrayStar. To do so:
1) Open the report via the Variant > Variant Report command.
2) Organize columns as desired. When you export variant data for later use in ArrayStar, you must include the following columns in the Variant Report:
• Contig ID
• Contig Pos
• Ref Pos
• Type
• Ref Base
• either SNP Base or Called Base
• SNP%
If you wish to determine coding vs. non-coding regions or synonymous vs. non-synonymous changes in ArrayStar, you must also export the following columns:
• Genotype
• Feature Name
• Feature Type
• either Codon or Protein Change
3) Choose File > Save Variant Report.
