Select File > Import to import a Phrap (.ace) or Sequencher (.spf) assembly. This command is not available if another project is currently open.
Once a project has been imported, it can be used like any other SeqMan Pro project. For example, it can be edited, saved, and more sequences can be assembled into it.
When importing a Phrap assembly, as long as you have used the recommended file organization, the files will be found automatically by SeqMan Pro. If the sequences are from trace files, SeqMan Pro will try to locate each trace file and an associated .phd file.
To export an assembly as a Phrap (.ace) file that can be read by Phrap’s companion assembly editor, Consed, using File > Export Project.
