NEW RELEASE - Lasergene v8.1
The latest version of Lasergene offers a number of improvements and enhancements over previous versions. New features include:
Enhanced SNP Reporting and Analysis
Additions to the SNP report in SeqMan Pro support additional filtering of SNPs. Users can select a sequence depth or a maximum coding distance and sort and filter accordingly. SNPs that appear near the 5' end of a feature are shown in magenta while those near the 3' end appear orange, as shown in the SNP statistic report below.

Assemble in Groups for multi-sample comparisons
This feature simplifies comparative sample analysis where users are interested in examining sequences from multiple samples and comparing them to a reference. Users can select the naming convention to be used and sort sequences accordingly.
The image below illustrates an Assemble in Groups view in the SeqMan Pro application. Simply select the sequence naming convention used to group similar areas from different samples in SNP reports and look for areas of interest.
Expanded capacity to handle larger project files
Lasergene v8.1 has the ability to assemble and analyze larger projects faster through the addition of 64-bit file compatibility.
Direct export to GenVision
Easy export of data to GenVision expands and simplifies genomic mapping and comparison studies and provides support for outstanding publication-quality visualizations.
Fully compatible with the latest Windows and Macintosh operating systems
Lasergene v8.1 is fully tested and compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP, in addition to Macintosh OS 10.6, 10.5 and 10.4.
