DNASTAR License Server Technical Requirements

The DNASTAR License Server is required to run the network version of Lasergene Core Suite, SeqMan NGen, ArrayStar, and QSeq. With a network license, you can install the client software on as many computers as you wish. The DNASTAR License Server controls the number of concurrent uses of the software, based upon the number of licenses you purchase. DNASTAR License Server Technical Requirements:

  • Windows Server 2003, 2008, or 2012, Windows XP SP3 (32-bit only), Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
  • Mac OS X 10.6 or higher (64 bit) with Intel processor
  • 512 MB available RAM
  • 10 MB of available hard-disk space
  • Static IP address manually configured in the TCP/IP setting for the network connection*
  • Internet access (required to authorize)
    • *Setting the DHCP to automatically renew the same IP address will not allow the server to run properly.
