Do you have questions about bioinformatics or molecular biology? On Monday, January 18, DNASTAR will be hosting an “Ask Me Anything” or “AMA” on Reddit. Questions will be answered by DNASTAR Senior Product Manager, Matt Keyser, and can include scientific, business, or career questions in addition to specific questions about molecular biology and genomics software tools.
As a product manager for Lasergene, Matt works closely with development, sales and marketing, and scientists at DNASTAR to create sequence analysis software that meets the current needs of researchers and that is ready to support future challenges and changing technology. Before joining DNASTAR, Matt was a PhD graduate student at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee doing molecular biology in a non-model organism and developing many different protocols for the lab (Northern blot, qRT-PCR, RNA in situ hybridization, gene sequencing, cloning, whole tissue immunohistochemistry, etc.) and also using a hodgepodge of commercial and open-source software tools to design clones, primers and probes, multiple sequence alignments and gene sequencing. Since arriving at DNASTAR in 2004, he has advised customers on a wide array of sequencing and analysis projects, giving him a unique understanding of the challenges faced by scientists today.
To ask Matt anything, find us on the r/IAmA thread on Monday, January 18 at 9 am CST. We hope to see you there!
