Ask a Structural Bioinformatician Anything
Have you ever been curious about computational biology? Want to know more about how the shape of proteins control the chemistry of life? On Monday, September 21, DNASTAR will be hosting an “Ask Me Anything” or “AMA” on Reddit. Questions will be answered by DNASTARs’ principal scientist Dr. Steve Darnell, PhD, and can include scientific, careers related to bioinformatics and more.
To access the AMA, search for Steve-DNASTAR on Reddit starting at 9:00 am CDT on September 21.
Dr. Steve Darnell’s work focuses on scientific topics like predicting the shape of a protein’s 3D structure from its amino acid sequence, predicting how two or more proteins bind to one another, designing amino acid sequences that bind more tightly to a target, and applying all of these topics together to make better therapeutic molecules.
