To specify a download folder for results from an Entrez or BLAST Search Result window:
- Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows), GeneQuest > Preferences (Macintosh) or press Cmd+,.
- Select the Internet tab.
- (optional) To automatically check for Lasergene software updates, check the box next to Show a notification when a newer version of Lasergene is available.
- To specify the default directory for downloading results from online database searches, press the Set Folder button.
- Navigate to the desired location and press Select Folder.
- To save changes and exit from the Preferences dialog, click OK.
