Entering SNP Searching Criteria

During Advanced Filtering of Variants projects, pressing the Choose SNP Criteria button causes a multi-tabbed dialog to open. The dialog allows all users to set confidence levels based on a variety of general and statistical variables. If you imported an assembly created in SeqMan NGen, you can also filter based on evolutionary conservation (GERP scores only). For users with Internet access to the Variant Annotation Database, filtering can also be done based on population genetics, functional prediction, pathogenicity, and expanded components related to evolutionary conservation.

At the bottom of the SNP Searching Criteria dialog are two buttons:

Use Defaults – Press this button if you want to override all changes made to any tab of the dialog and replace them with the default selections.

Set Defaults – Press this button to save the current selections in all tabs of the dialog as the new default selections.
