Student’s t-Test

Use the Statistics > Student's t-test command to perform the Student's t-test (see Drăghici, 2003). The Student’s t-Test is used to compare the means of gene expression values for two individual replicates or for two groups of replicates for a given gene. The Student’s t-Test is a widely used method for identifying differentially expressed genes. ArrayStar uses an unpaired, two-tailed, equal variance Student's t-Test.

Selecting this test from the Statistics menu will launch the Statistics Parameters dialog where you can define the data to be included in the analysis, as well as the Multiple Testing Correction adjustment to be used.
