Editing an Assembly Project

The topics below describe different ways to edit an assembly in SeqMan Pro.

Note: BAM-based projects cannot be edited in SeqMan Pro.

After making edits, remember that these edits are recorded in the SeqMan Pro project file, but the original sequence files remain unchanged. To preserve changes you make to constituent sequences, you may want to export your sequences.

After you have finished editing, you may also wish to save the consensus sequence. By default, all gaps in the consensus sequence are removed prior to saving. If you wish to include the gaps, check Include Gaps at the bottom of the Save Consensus As dialog.
