A consensus or constituent sequence can be sent to any other Lasergene application capable of supporting that sequence format.
To open the currently selected consensus in another Lasergene application:
Select File > Send Consensus To and choose another Lasergene application from the list. Applications that do not support the selected sequence(s) are disabled. The other Lasergene application will launch above the current SeqMan Pro window with a copy of the consensus. Both applications will remain open until you close them.
Features (with the exception of layout features) are included with your consensus sequence. If you wish to export confirmed variants as “variation” features on your consensus, first make sure that variants are displayed (Variant > Show Variants) before selecting File > Send Consensus To.
Any changes made to the consensus sequence in the other Lasergene application will not be updated in SeqMan Pro, and vice versa. To update the consensus in SeqMan Pro after making changes in another program, first save the consensus in the other Lasergene application. Then close and reopen the file in SeqMan Pro to view the changes.

Changes that you have made within SeqMan Pro, such as editing nucleotides or adding features will not be included in the sequence that is sent. To open your edited sequence in another application, instead export it using Contig > Export Sequences.

Applications that do not support the selected sequence(s) are disabled. The other Lasergene application will launch above the current SeqMan Pro window with a copy of the sequence that contains the selected feature. Both applications will remain open until you close them.
