Viewing and Saving the Trim Report

Note: The Trim Report is disabled for BAM-based projects.

You may view the Trim Report for the current project by selecting Project > Trim Report. The Trim Report provides information about quality trimming and vector removal, including the End Trimming parameters used, and a table listing the name of the sequence, its average quality, amount trimmed, and the trimmed and pre-trimmed lengths.

The quality value listed in the Trim Report is the average quality of bases remaining after trimming. For non-trace sequences, the value is given as ‘na’ (not applicable). If only vector scanning is done, all quality values are ‘na.’ The “Average Quality” column is an average of trace sequence values only.

Right-click in the report to access context menu shortcuts to these Edit Menu commands: Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Clear, Select All and Find.

To save the trim report in either formatted or tab-delimited form, select File > Save Trim Report Info.

To clear the Trim Report, choose Project > Empty Trim Report. Edit > Undo will not restore the contents of this report, so only use the Empty Trim Report command if you are sure you do not want this information in your assembly document.
