Note: An automated Min/Max Cap data transformation may occur during Set Up Preprocessing, in which case the following message appears.

 

 

This transformation is performed to provide, by default, a minimum value for all genes that have zero or missing expression values. If this transformation were not performed, it would possible to later filter on Fold Change in the Advanced Filters dialog, but still miss any genes that were turned "off" in the experiment. Because of this possibility, we recommend retaining the default transformation. If you wish to remove it at a later time, you may do so by using the Data > Edit Data Transformations command.
