Protean 3D offers a variety of different Report views, depending on the structure or result (variant search, BLAST search) being viewed.
If the entire sequence or “nothing” is selected, the report applies to the entire protein. If an entire multi-chain molecule is selected, all chains are represented in the report. If a subset of the sequence is selected (a chain, feature, etc.), the report shows analysis information for only the selected portion.
Selecting a row in any Report view selects the same element in other views. Similarly, selections made elsewhere will be highlighted simultaneously in the Report view.
To learn more about specific report types and how to access them, see the topics below.
|Document type||Report name|
|Protean 3D structure file (.structure)

|To open a new file||Choose an option from the the Open a local file () drop-down menu.|
|To save the document in .structure file format||Press the Save to a file tool ().|
|To switch to another type of report||Use the drop-down menu in the view header.|
|To add and view a report not yet in the drop-down list||Use the Add reports to this view tool () in the view header.|
