Lasergene Technical Requirements

Lasergene is designed to run efficiently on a standard laptop or desktop for most workflows. Additional hardware is only required for:

  • NGS Workflows - Lasergene Genomics
  • NovaLocal Protein Modeling – Local Deployment Option

Protein modeling included with Lasergene Protein and DNASTAR Lasergene runs in the cloud by default and does not require specialized local hardware.

Note: ArrayStar was designed to run on Windows operating systems only. However, you can run ArrayStar on a Macintosh with an Intel processor by using Parallels Desktop with Windows 7 or higher installed. Access to Lasergene Genomics’s variant annotation database is offered through ArrayStar and requires a broadband internet connection.

DNASTAR License Server Technical Requirements for Network Licenses

Lasergene runs efficiently on most standard laptops and desktops. Network versions require the DNASTAR License Server to manage concurrent users based on your license count.
