DNASTAR and SciNote have announced a new partnership and software integration between SeqBuilder Pro, DNASTAR’s molecular biology application, and the SciNote electronic lab notebook (ELN) platform. The collaboration is designed to help researchers improve collaboration, traceability, and project organization by enabling seamless transfer of molecular biology workflow outputs into SciNote.
The new integration allows users to send data and results generated in SeqBuilder Pro directly into SciNote projects, helping centralize experimental records and streamline documentation workflows. Researchers can easily transfer sequences, images, tables, and other project data into their ELN environment while maintaining organized and accessible research records.
SeqBuilder Pro is part of the DNASTAR Lasergene software suite and is widely used for molecular biology workflows including sequence editing, primer design, plasmid map visualization, virtual cloning, and sequence analysis.
“We’re excited to partner with SciNote to provide a more connected workflow experience for researchers,” said Venkat Balakrishnan, Director of Commercial Operations at DNASTAR. “Integrating SeqBuilder Pro with SciNote helps simplify the transition between sequence analysis and experiment documentation while supporting collaboration and data organization across research teams.”
“No single vendor is going to build every tool a modern lab needs, and we don’t think that should be our ambition,” said Brendan McCorkle, CEO of SciNote. “Our job is to make SciNote the connective layer for the research ecosystem, open to the specialized tools scientists already trust, like SeqBuilder Pro. Partnerships like this one with DNASTAR are how we make that vision real.”
The SeqBuilder Pro SciNote integration is available as part of DNASTAR Lasergene 19.
