Issue: The VCF Concordance tool introduced in Lasergene 18.1 has been removed in Lasergene 19.0. This tool was accessed through the DNASTAR Navigator and was part of our original GATK package. This package added 500 Mb to our installer size, and many of its components were being incorrectly flagged in vulnerability scans.

With the release of Lasergene 19.0, the GATK algorithm, accessed through SeqMan NGen, is now run through Docker Desktop. The VCF Concordance tool has been temporarily removed.

Resolution: We are exploring using Docker Desktop or another solution to support reinstating the VCF Concordance tool in a future Lasergene release. Until then, the tool can be accessed by installing Lasergene 18.1. or 18.1.1 and launching the DNASTAR Navigator.
