Compatibility issues with macOS Big Sur

November 10, 2020 Product Notifications

Date:  11/20/2020

Version Affected:  All

Version Fixed:  17.2.1 (all but Protean 3D), 17.3 (Protean 3D)

Issue: On macOS Big Sur, there are  compatibility issues that prevent DNASTAR applications, including Protean 3D and SeqMan NGen, from functioning correctly.

Resolution: The issues were resolved in Lasergene 17.3 or earlier. For further information, please contact DNASTAR at 866-511-5090 or [email protected].

Lasergene 15 was released in October 2017. At the time of its release, it would have worked with the then-just-released macOS 10.13 High Sierra and likely 4-5 versions prior to that. Rather than using Lasergene 15, I highly recommend you check out the many new features in 17.3, our current release. Lasergene 17.3 is compatible with macOS 10.13, 10.14, 10.15, and 11.0.
