Java security vulnerability in Lasergene 14.0 to 17.0

Version Affected:  Lasergene 14.0 through 17.0

Version Fixed:  Lasergene 17.1 and later

Issue: Oracle’s Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 8 was distributed in Lasergene versions 14.0 through 17.0. This version of the JRE is now known to have a security vulnerability; click here for details. Lasergene customers with these versions may be susceptible to this security issue.

Resolution: The JRE security vulnerability was addressed with the release of JRE version 11, which is used in Lasergene 17.1 and later. To correct this vulnerability issue, we strongly recommend that all Lasergene users update to the latest version. We have provided the links below to help you with the update process.
