Issue: In Lasergene releases from 17.3 to 17.4.1 (all released in 2022) there are two issues pertaining to the Align > Merge Unaligned into Existing Alignment command in MegAlign Pro. When a reference is not set prior to using the command, the command acts like Align > Unalign All and causes all sequences to become unaligned. When a reference is set prior to using the command, the merge command is disabled (grayed out).

Resolution: Both issues were fixed in Lasergene 17.4.2, released February 8th, 2023. To install the latest version of Lasergene, go to the My Licenses page of our website.
