SeqBuilder Pro gives a “basic string” error on Mac computers

Version Affected: Lasergene 17.6 to 18.0.3

Version Fixed: Lasergene 18.1

Issue: On Mac computers, attempts to open a file within SeqBuilder Pro can result in an error message: “Error occurred opening file. An error occurred while opening a file: basic_string.” This has been observed mainly on computers running non-English languages, but we are aware of it occurring on at least one English-language computer, as well.

Resolution: This issue was fixed in Lasergene 18.1. To resolve this issue, update to the latest version of Lasergene by going to the My Licenses page of our website. If you need assistance, please contact us at 866-511-5090 or [email protected].
